Couple surprised to find kangaroo on roof of their house

An Eastern Grey kangaroo managed to hop onto the roof of a couple's home in Melbourne, Australia.

Trent and Bronwyn Duggan heard a loud crash on Saturday morning, shortly before they discovered the 35kg male kangaroo.

It had jumped some three metres and looked lost and confused. "It sort of sounded like three grown men line dancing on the top of my roof," Mr Duggan said.

The 'roo was stranded for six hours, too afraid to jump down. Wildlife expert Sharon Bonnici eventually came to the rescue, with a tranquiliser gun, and encouraged him down.

We've got magpies that clonk around on the roof sufficiently loudly as to wake you up. I dread to imagine what a roo on the roof sounds like.
